Then and Now, a Note from Owner, Jared Littmann

My in-laws, Ken and Bobbie Niefeld, started “The Hardware House” in 1974 on the west side of Forest Drive, near Quiet Waters Park. In 1986, they moved into our current location, on the east side of Forest Drive, and later renamed the store “K&B Ace Hardware”.

In 2004, I detoured from a career as an engineer and environmental lawyer to learn the family hardware business. In 2007, my wife, Marlene Niefeld, and I bought K&B Ace Hardware. Along with the team, we have continued the same ideals that the store has always been known for: the right products at the right prices, an expert and knowledgeable staff, at a convenient location, plus a renewed focus on environmentally-friendly products and practices.

The K&B Ace Hardware team is extremely dedicated, loyal, and knowledgeable, with more than 200 years of collective hardware experience. The team is always stocking the latest items – not just the same things you find elsewhere. And we constantly shop our competition and adjust our prices to beat those of our competitors, so you can shop with confidence and know you’re being treated fairly.

We are grateful and thankful to our customers and the entire Annapolis community. We thrive on your feedback, encouragement, and support. We are still here, almost 50 years later, because of your loyalty to us. Please keep spreading the word about the “Best Hardware Store in Town”!
